You both heard wrong.
I heard we were actually offering you good compensation...two ruckmen...

Went to the game, got saturated. Centrals clearly going at half pace for most of the game, certainly the second half when they were outscored. Most of what I'd say about North has already been said. I predicted a 12 goal win to the Dogs but scaled it back to 7-8 goals when seeing the weather. Having said that they should've won by more.

I don't have an issue with establishing a tough defensive mindset into players. We need it. However the gameplan is so defensive we just can't score and have nothing to kick to. Let's start by teaching our players how to tackle properly and attack the contest. You can stick 40 players behind the ball and you'll still lose if you can't hold a tackle, win a contested ball and actually have something to kick to on the off chance you get the footy.

Dogs too good, enough said.

This is the second week in a row that these tactics have been tried and failed. They may limit our scoring ability but removes any chance of a win for our opposition. This is a bit surprising in view as we have historically been a bit shaky mid-season.
We used to be good :-(

And yet you complain about the AFL acting like officious twats who ride roughshod over inferior competitions.

Reasoned thinking isn't your strongest suit is it?

Better not try making a joke Pseudo, apparently humour is lost on some people on this site.

I believe it was by -3points. However, if you look at the percentage increase from the half time score, I'm sure that's what was intended ;)

My mistake, I thought they were outscored. I think North kicked 3 goals to 2 in the second half, courtesy of Central's inaccuracy, prob why I was thinking along those lines. But yes our % did improve after half time!

With players like Alleway, Archard, Allan etc...why do North still suck so bad?!?!?!

P.S. Is it just me or does there seem to be a LOT of man-love for Central ruckmen lately???

I'll call it now only halfway thru the season but...North Adelaide...underachievers of season 2010...but Sturt still a chance to win this award...

In the same boat as Norwood 2 seasons back. A lot of people tipped them to be top 3 that year at the start of the season only for them to finish up as midtable rabble. Exactly the same thing this year for North...

Berri won't be asking for a blank cheque mate. We're a pretty decent club and it will never get to that situation. I don't want to deny the lad a chance either at the greatest level. I'm just saying, you need to look at the point of view from the Berri Footy Club. He does have a contract I believe. Hey, if he goes, he goes. All the best to him. I'm just a bit disappointed it happened a week out from the clearance date. It's our Centenary year and we have busted our guts out to get a team that can make the finals (with three recruits) and also become a part of our football club in years to come. If he leaves now, that leaves a massive hole in our team. Hell, I love the bloke. Ask him about Reno, and that is me. That's all I have to say. Seeya lads.

P.S. - We spent a couple of bucks ;)

Roy Laird just mentioned on the 5AA SANFL Show that the relationship between Berri and Central is good and he is aware it is an important year for Berri and that Jason is an integral part of their side. He said Central will let 'Pumpa' head back to Berri to play finals if they need him as well and reiterated that the Berri FC have been great in letting him play for the Dogs and also made mention that because he's come from a country league, his fitness has a long way to go.

Roy also made mention that Robert 'Chopper' Handley played an important part in getting Jason down to the club after seeing him play up in the Riverland recently. I don't know if 'Chopper' is a copper up there still but interestingly enough, 'Pumpa' actually wore the same number (37) that Chopper wore in his career at the Doggies.

Chopper has moved on, but still comes back from time to time.
Top bloke is Chopper and played a lot of games at Renmark and Berri after leaving the AFL/SANFL.
Was always good to have a cop in your team too for those nervous drives home after a skinful of p*ss!
