What I find amusing is that last year some of the AFL listed players were referred to as Hacks that were barely up to SANFL reserves standard, but this year they are all full time professionals. Perhaps the Hacks were delisted in the off season?

As your earlier article stated Butcher went to hospital Thursday night but are the entire Player welfare staff on leave at the minute? Nobody realised John was in hospital until after the reserves had started on Saturday forcing Zac Hawkins (42?) to play both games? :shock:

I am really not sure why some people get so upset at Crows members getting in for free. AAMI/AO members have had 4 free SANFL games as part of their membership package for years and years and all kids under 18 get into SANFL games for free. The more people at the games the better IMO.

Also great that Peter Motley Oval will have a permanent fence next season and hopefully we will no longer see local residents with dogs on the oval as the players are walking off. I understand the picket sale to fund the fence has been that successful that it will not only cover the cost of the fence but return a surplus.
