At the moment if you go to after match presos for an hour and someone has covid you’re a close contact (let’s not deny that blokes will be walking around socialising with different people) if this is the case and there’s a positive amongst the group, we could see whole teams or clubs as close contacts

For arguments sake if you lost that 'community' 'club' feel by not being able to have pressos would you still want games to go ahead or would you prefer they just call the season.

For many clubs it wouldn’t be viable to keep playing without generating income from bars on Saturday’s and training days

The biggest reason why clubs will die is volunteer burnout, our junior coordinator before this season was retired and basically did it full time, now the roles been split into two and the workload is huge.

Senior football is just as bad, APPs reports, salary cap reports, the workload is way too much!

The burden on football directors, with TPPS and APPS is too great, one mistake and the season/multiple seasons are ruined.

Coaching is an extremely tough gig and it’s very easy to point fingers.

Mitcham had poor numbers throughout preseason from my understanding which is a poor reflection on the playing group

From my minimal engagement with JC he seems to be a guy that puts his heart and soul into a job. Perhaps the playing group need to repay the faith and put half as much effort in as he has?

Not sure the crack at the league was justified, while the game looked like allot of fun, it’s still a game an official game of footy, not sure crowd invasions at every goal are something the league would be to impressed with.

It’s happening all over the state, big farmers buying out the small guys, machines replacing workers. Which means less families, less teachers, police, doctors, nurses coming into the area.

It’s amazing that for example, yorketown, Edithburgh and warooka previously had thriving individual clubs.

The southern teams also have the hills league on our doorstep.
