Re: NORTH EASTERN F/L

Blyth/Snowtown have picked up ex Carlton Rookie & WWT player Cameron Giles
He played there last year didn't he?

The big fella was actually on the senior list, albeit only two years. Horrible run with injuries.

Played the last game of last year
Blyth also in talks with a couple of guns from the YPFL, would be very handy if they came across

Re: Stanley Cricket Association

I think what happy hawk means is Gilbert Valley are looking at possibly combining with Auburn/Mintaro. GV have lost their thirds side this season and are short on A1’s players. Mitchell, Allen and Edwards would compliment their A1 team well. The rest of the Bullants team would filter through their seconds and also help get their thirds back on their feet. Geographically it would make sense also, given the close proximity of Auburn and Saddleworth.

I also believe that quite a few Lower North cricketers are now wasted in the Stanley comp given it’s decline. The only thing holding it back from joining the BLCA is the travel factor.

Interesting times ahead and still plenty of water to go under the bridge before any of this happens.

Re: NORTH EASTERN F/L

South Clare with the biggest upset of the season knocking of North Clare in the A Grade. It shouldn't affect Norths standings but not exactly what you want heading into your first finals campaign in a fair while.

Min Man have kept the pressure on RSMU for the fourth spot. Sounds like BBH wasted a lot of opportunities kicking 9.17 for the day.

Less said about Blyths' A Grade the better, probably what you deserve when you start focusing more on the B Grade.

Only surprise in the B Grade was the BSR victory over Blyth, was helped with Scotty Atkinson going down at the end of the first quarter with what looked to be a calf injury. All other results were as expected.
