Re: Port Adelaide 2015

Due to overwhelming peer pressure, I am officially making my first ever post!

So, heading into Round 9, we are looking at the following changes:

In: Broadbent, Clurey, Stewart
Out: Cornes (retired), Ryder (Achilles), Trengove (ankle)

Definitely happy to see Broady back in the side, especially as it was announced he has signed on til 2019. I've been holding my breath hoping to see Colquhoun get selected, but alas another week will go by without him in the side. With Trengove injured, it would be no surprise to most that we will get to see Tom Clurey have a crack. Noted that he has been named in the interchange and was not slotted straight into center half back. I find this curious simply because I've heard (although haven't seen it for myself), word is that he's been playing in the midfield the past few weeks for the Maggies, and shutdown arguably the 2 best SANFL mids: Magarey Medallist Zane Kirkwood(Sturt) and Jack Oatey Medallist Matthew Panos(Norwood). Makes me wonder if he has he come into the side to replace Trengove, or Kane Cornes?? It will definitely be interesting to see the role they end up giving him.

Any thoughts as to who could step up to fill Cornes' shoes?

Re: Port Adelaide 2015

I think we should cut Ryder a bit of slack, at least for the time being. Although both he and Lobbe aren't playing to their full potential at the moment, there's got to be a period of adjustment having them both in the side. Ryder looked great the first few rounds of the season, it's only been the last couple of weeks that he's gone a bit quiet. The achilles injury that has him missing this week's game is apparently something he's been carrying for the last two weeks as well, which could explain a few things. On the other hand, he has so far performed best when Lobbe has been out of the side, so perhaps their much hyped partnership is still a work in progress. I'm interested in seeing if Lobbe's form improves this week being the sole ruckman for the side.

Re: Hogg Division V 2015

Round 8

The husband and wife team of Failed Creation and True North went one game clear at the top as Jimmy and Damage dropped the ball but perhaps there is a team in 7th spot that might cause a bit of a knee tremble. Multiple Scorgasms are coming and could be set for a big climax to the season with some heavy scoring.

To be clear, Failed Creation and I are by no means a "team". I would love nothing more than to smash his team out of that top spot! The rivalry is real, haha

Re: Port Adelaide 2015

One change for this weeks game:

Sammy "muffins" Colquhoun replaces Karl Amon, who has been withdrawn with calf soreness.

Sam's last game was the 2013 Semi Final, coincidentally against the cats.

Well I for one could not be more thrilled with this inclusion. I've always had a big soft spot for Sammy Colquhoun, can't wait to see him back in action :D
